✦ FarShift Care

Someone responsible for keeping your WordPress site working.

FarShift Care combines essential maintenance with proactive checks and a defined allowance for minor website changes.
What is included

One clear plan. $249/month.

Core, theme, and plugin updates

Applied carefully, with a backup taken first.

Daily backups

Stored off-site so the site can be restored if something goes wrong.

Security monitoring

Scanning and alerts for known vulnerabilities and suspicious changes.

Uptime monitoring

Alerts when the site goes down, so problems are noticed quickly.

Form checks

Regular test submissions to confirm enquiries are still arriving.

Monthly performance check

Speed and Core Web Vitals reviewed for regressions.

Database optimization

Housekeeping that keeps WordPress lean over time.

Monthly report

What was updated, checked, and changed, in plain language.

30 minutes of minor edits

Small content and layout changes each month.

Priority email support

Care clients are answered ahead of new enquiries.
What counts as a minor edit

Small changes to what already exists.

  • Updating text, prices, team details, or contact information
  • Replacing or adding images on existing pages
  • Publishing a blog post you supply
  • Adjusting a menu, button, or link
  • Small fixes to spacing or layout on existing templates
The 30-minute edit allowance resets each month. Unused time does not roll over and cannot be exchanged for credit.
Not a minor edit

Quoted separately.

  • New pages, templates, or sections
  • Design changes and new features
  • Plugin replacements or integrations
  • Content writing or large content uploads
Monthly workflow

What happens every month.

Step 01: Backup

A fresh backup is taken before any maintenance work begins.

Step 02: Update and check

Core, theme, and plugins are updated, then key pages and forms are checked.

Step 03: Monitor

Uptime and security monitoring run continuously through the month.

Step 04: Report

A monthly report summarizes updates, checks, performance, and edits.
Response expectations

Clear about timing.

Support hours

Monday to Friday during business hours, excluding public holidays. Exact hours and time zone are confirmed in your care agreement.

Response vs. resolution

Requests receive a first response within one business day. That is response time, not resolution time: most minor edits are completed within two business days, and larger issues get a clear plan and estimate.

Emergencies

Emergencies such as a site outage are prioritized during support hours. Work outside support hours, or recovery that goes beyond restoring a backup, is quoted and approved before it starts.
What is excluded

Outside the plan.

  • Hosting, domains, and premium plugin or theme licenses
  • Removing malware or fixing technical debt that existed before the plan started
  • Redesigns, new features, and development beyond the minor-edit allowance
  • Content writing and SEO campaigns
  • Recovery from changes made by other people or providers
Site acceptance

Every site starts with a review.

Before a site joins FarShift Care, it is reviewed for WordPress and PHP versions, plugin health, backups, security issues, and broken functionality. Any pre-existing problems are reported and quoted separately before the plan begins.
Cancellation terms

No long-term contract.

Care is billed monthly in advance with no long-term contract. Cancel at any time before your next billing date and no further charges apply; access, backups, and credentials are handed over when the plan ends.

FAQ

Care questions.
What does FarShift Care include?

FarShift Care includes WordPress updates, daily backups, security and uptime monitoring, form checks, a monthly performance check, database optimization, reporting, 30 minutes of minor edits, and priority email support. Larger changes are quoted separately.

Can you guarantee the site will never be hacked?

No provider can honestly guarantee that. FarShift Care reduces risk with updates, monitoring, and backups, and provides a clear path to restore the site if something goes wrong.

What happens to unused edit time?

The 30-minute edit allowance resets each month. Unused time does not roll over and cannot be exchanged for credit.

How quickly do you respond?

Requests receive a first response within one business day. That is response time, not resolution time: most minor edits are completed within two business days, and larger issues get a clear plan and estimate.

Do you look after sites FarShift did not build?

Yes, after an initial site review. If the review finds problems such as outdated plugins, malware, or broken functionality, those are fixed first as separately quoted work.

How do I cancel?

Care is billed monthly in advance with no long-term contract. Cancel at any time before your next billing date and no further charges apply; access, backups, and credentials are handed over when the plan ends.
